AboitizLand, Inc. remains committed on its promise of building better communities through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

On May 19, 2017 – the AboitizLand, Inc. CSR Team together with its CEO Mr. Andoni F. Aboitiz travelled all the way from Aboitiz Corporate Office in Banilad, Cebu City to Barangay Lupa, Compostela, Cebu. It’s a 21.6 kilometer ride, passing thru spillways and rough terrains going to the area where the partner beneficiaries are assembled for the “big” day. The day where the MOA for Queseo Project is set to be inked that conveys the formal project launching in the community.

Overflowing with great joy, the partner organization and project beneficiaries welcomed the AboitizLand team with smiles in a secluded mango tree farm.

The team held a very intimate MOA signing activity where the beneficiaries interacted with representatives from AboitizLand, Inc. and Compostela Market Vendors Multi-purpose Cooperative (COMAVEMCO) very closely.

The finished product – chilled Queseo wrapped in banana leaves.

The project is part of AboitizLand’s “Better Communities Program” - an enterprise development initiative that aims to support local products and industries by providing the community with the adequate machinery to boost production and marketing. Under this program, the beneficiaries will also undergo a series of training and workshops on various aspects of their business such as product safety and branding. For our partner communities around Amoa, the “Better Communities Program - Queseo” was created in partnership with the Compostela Market Vendors Multipurpose Cooperative (COMAVEMCO), and seeks to alleviate the economic status of its beneficiaries thru sustainable livelihood. Moreover, the said project is in line with the DTI’s “One Town, One Product” campaign that aims to promote local goods and products. We encourage each AboitizLander to share their time and skills in marketing and process standardization as we bring our first Better Communities project to life. We look forward to having more Cebuanos, and Filipinos, enjoy Compostela’s queseo at home!

This is us, AboitizLand, driving change for a better future by empowering our neighbors through enterprise development.
