Movement of industries to new Integrated Industrial Centers in the countryside has spurred the development of the West Cebu Industrial Park (WCIP) in Balamban. This thriving industrial community in the western coast of Cebu is fitted for medium to heavy industries, particularly for shipbuilding and allied activities.

The 202-hectare estate is a project of Cebu Industrial Park Developers, Inc. (CIPDI), a joint venture between the Aboitiz Group and Tsuneishi Holdings, Inc. of Japan.
